Staying in Place: Mt Baker Hub Studio
Rain Water and Resilience Center

In case of an earthquake, the Mount Baker area can be left without access to potable water for 14-60 days. Due to its location away from the liquefaction zone, the Amy Yee Tennis Center could become the central site of rainwater and graywater collection and storage in the Mount Baker Hub, and used as an educational space in everyday life. A system of carefully-planned water treatment, collection and storage interventions interacts with the local MLK Park to create a resilient gathering space for the Mount Baker neighborhood.
