Pop-up planters create small, flexible gathering and buffering areas to draw attention to underutilized spaces and invite pedestrians to linger. The traveling parklet planter type offers choice of seating levels and shelter. The fixed traffic-calming planter type creates a buffer zone between the heavy traffic flow of Rainier Ave. S and foot traffic areas, as well as treats stormwater runoff from the street pavement.
