A proposed material library for Mount Baker could foster a physical catalogue of materials (salvaged+recycled), lending services, a small business supply program, and a material assessment and assembly program. This space could also function as a workshop and event space for an emergency preparedness program, and a From Waste to Commodities Program by artists and digital techs to create products for everyday use. This community maker-space will connect experienced makers with learners, and build resilient social ties within the neighborhood.
