The majority of densely-populated land in Mount Baker is situated on clay, which is prone to liquefaction during seismic activity. The goal of this project is to gradually decrease the density of Mount Baker development in the interest of earthquake safety by introducing a network of urban agriculture interventions tied to existing youth programs. A collection of different agricultural uses in the area can stimulate the growth of jobs, food literacy, and a sense of stewardship in the neighborhood.
